Anime is a gateway drug to being fucking retarded, proven to us time and time again by the gentle folk at hongfire, ever eager to fall over one another in an endless clash to claim the throne of the most pathetic asshole imaginable.

I have just the thing for you, C.A…if you’re interested in the real-world basis for Star Wars lightsaber styles, there’s a book on exactly that called
“Shimmering Sword”
I haven’t read it myself, but the reviews seem good.

As for myself, I actually am interested in martial arts, though to a lesser extent than some of you probably are. I practiced Shotokan Karate for about 7 years, but I quit and probably won’t go back, at least not anytime soon (the reason I quit was not only because I decided I had too little time and not enough interest, but also because I broke my finger and can no longer make a fist with my right hand).

So, even though I may not be interested in actually practicing the arts at the moment, I do have a general interest in them. For example, not too long ago, I found myself looking at different Shotokan kata online (and feeling a bit nostalgic about it, I may add >_>) and reading various relevant Wikipedia articles. Who knows, maybe sometime in the future, when homework

is a thing of the past for me, I may take up Karate again ^_^.

Sword by far. Gun fights are nearly as boring as car chases. Swords however are not. Lightsabers are swords, and Star Wars has some very thrilling lightsaber fights. But not so thrilling laser fights. Plus Link uses a sword! And Cloud Strife and Squall uses two in one!
