9 Reasons Why Anime Will Make you a Virgin for Life

by on May 8th, 2011 at 7:53 pm, under Text

I’m pretty sure that most people would agree that a culture’s worth can be totally measured on the quality of their cartoons. Did the Sumerians have any cartoons involving ninjas sticking their fingers into each other’s butts? Fuck no, and that’s why no one gives a shit about them anymore. Go ahead and take a read on the 9 Reasons Anime is Superior to Western Animation and learn why no one will ever remember anything other than Japan 500 years from now.

4. Adult Animation

Animation of a sexual nature aimed at adults is almost non-existent in the West.

How could we have been so blind…

It’s been a long time since The Anime Reality has been active, but fear not! Our loyal subjects have not been resting, GokuFievel chief among them.  Let’s see what he’s been up to this week!

Fansub TV Network

by on July 12th, 2010 at 10:24 pm, under Image, Text

Hey guys, check out the Fansub TV Network forums! They’re faggots, let’s take a look.

Don’t you guys ever wish you were a member of the superior race known as the Japanese? Well, you’re not alone!

It’s hard being an anime fan in North America or anywhere else other than Japan. Living a life of subtitles and shitty dubs. If only i were Japanese, i could watch an endless amount of anime and understand it perfectly, i some times wish i were Japanese, do you?

I would prefer to be american, thw way I am now. Why? Because I look forward to learning Nihongo, becoming familiar with its culture, and getting to the point where someone says “Woa, your Japanese is soo good, yet your a foriener!” Probabbly because I would never even reveal that I knew the language until I obliterated 70% of my accent. I really don’t want to appear as an otaku, simply by my dress or speech.

i kinda wish i am a japanese whenever im watching animes and other japan stuff =p but come to think of it why not? i can see more advantages of being one…

i dont wish to be a japanese, but i do with to be an anime character!

And of course, every anime forum needs its own post your picture thread so the members can show off their neckbeards and fedoras.

I hear they're huge in Japan

It's pretty bad when your default facial expression is "anime fag."

Hmmm, better get as much of my neckbeard as possible into this shot.

Just hangin' out.

Practicing for the big show at the anime con.

God dammit, I missed Naruto!!!

God damn, that face.

CNN – Your World Four Years Ago

by on March 30th, 2010 at 8:46 pm, under Text

CNN Breaking News

CNN wants you to know that in Japan, they make video games where you can simulate the act of sexually assaulting and raping girls. Despite belabored attempts to pretend sounding journalistically objective, the story betrays CNN’s own disgust at such a discovery, asking the question “When does a video game go too far?”

I agree, games that let you rape girls are loathsome and vile, so it is all the more unfortunate that the game CNN is writing about, RapeLay, is almost four fucking years old now, and has already been the subject of great controversy. In other news, man walks on moon, and CNN discovers something called the Internet.

Hentai games are not new to Japan. This country has long produced products the rest of the world would call pornographic. But before the arrival of the Internet, such items stayed in Japan. Now, once a game goes on sale in Tokyo, it is digitized and shared everywhere.

I guess the point of this post is to remind everyone that RapeLay is disgusting, and that CNN is as incompetent as ever. Keep on shining, you crazy diamond.

Kirsten Dunst: Turning Japanese

by on February 23rd, 2010 at 6:22 am, under Video

We noticed this at UK Resistance, and honestly, they already said everything that needs to be said about this atrocity. I now hate both Kirsten Dunst and McG far more than I thought was previously possible.

Watch this song become the anthem for every cosplaying anime fan in America. Or anywhere that isn’t Japan, I guess.

ClearTranquil Mini-Update: Japanese Girls Love Me

by on February 1st, 2010 at 9:44 pm, under Image, Text

Come to me, my Asian princesses.

A few months ago we featured ClearTranquil, a white cosplayer who roamed the streets of Tokyo dressed as a vocaloid. We first featured his room in the Anime Shrines series, which later led to more info on him and his journey to the Oniichanland. Recently, I was checking out his blog and found this post about his trip that I had somehow glossed over before:

When we got to the bottom of the mountain this is where the story gets amazing. We transferred trains and the same group of about 5 girls got on the same car with us again. We got a few train stops down the track when I started to hear them singing. They were singing World is Mine by Hatsune Miku, just a verse. I was like, “Holy crap are they really singing that?” and then they started to sing Meltdown by Kagamine Rin. Billy was like, “Sing with them!”, so I did! I started to hum along to their song (I was a few meters away) and one of them stopped and turned to me and then they ALL stopped and turned to me. I said, “Kagamine Rin” and they started getting excited. One of them said something to me in Japanese and I just pointed to myself and said, “Kaito Cosplay” and they started getting even more excited. It was like, “What’s this? A gaijin knows VOCALOID?”.

So as if they weren’t hysterical enough they went completely off the walls and screaming when I showed them a picture of myself in cosplay that Billy happened to have on his phone. Without that I don’t know what I would have done. They were literally screaming and grabbing the phone from me. Then others came from the train to see what the commotion was about. I had to sign English text-books for them and notebooks. They insisted I shake their hands and I said “sayonara” to them and they got all excited again. I gave out my website URL so I hope they find this post alright.
