Anime Shrine: “GG & EM”

* Names (or nick names): GG&EM
* Age: 25
* How many years you have been an otaku: 12
* Nationality: American
* Outline of your collection: Far too much….figures, autographs, DVDs, manga, art books, video games, shitajiki, character goods, seiyuu stuff, etc. etc. This is probably about 1/10 of our collection; sadly the rest are in storage.
* How much does your collection cost: I don’t want to think about it but I’d say on average we each spend $300-$500 a month and on a bad month with a lot of releases (like all the upcoming K-on merchandise), maybe $1000.
* Your fave item: autographs
* Your website address: www.guzu-guzu.com
* Anything else you want to say: This is EM’s basement that has sort of become a mini-museum for our combined autograph collection (well about 2/3) and some of our individual figure collections that we have no space for at the moment. Everything up on the walls are sketches or autographs by character designers, mangaka, seiyuu, creators, animators, singers, idols, directors, etc. It’s kind of fun to see it all up and pay homage to the people who create the works we love. Our website has pretty much become a competition between two friends on who has a better autograph, character goods, doll and figure collection. However as the domain name implies, we’re pretty slow (lazy) in updating so who the winner is, is up in the air right now. Maybe one day we’ll actually have everything up and actually have the courage to post pics of our individual rooms.

I have been a lone wolf otaku for many years since none of my off-line friends are otaku by nature, I stumbled upon Dannychoo.com by total accident and I have been making quite a few friends since then. Ever since I have become a regular visitor here and I have learned how to communicate with other otaku through blogging, something I have never attempted before.
I enjoy my otaku life style very much and at the same time, I also want to work hard and be a contributing member of the society, I worked very hard to develop my career and I want to help prove that otaku can be a very productive member of the society.
