CNN wants you to know that in Japan, they make video games where you can simulate the act of sexually assaulting and raping girls. Despite belabored attempts to pretend sounding journalistically objective, the story betrays CNN’s own disgust at such a discovery, asking the question “When does a video game go too far?”
I agree, games that let you rape girls are loathsome and vile, so it is all the more unfortunate that the game CNN is writing about, RapeLay, is almost four fucking years old now, and has already been the subject of great controversy. In other news, man walks on moon, and CNN discovers something called the Internet.
Hentai games are not new to Japan. This country has long produced products the rest of the world would call pornographic. But before the arrival of the Internet, such items stayed in Japan. Now, once a game goes on sale in Tokyo, it is digitized and shared everywhere.
I guess the point of this post is to remind everyone that RapeLay is disgusting, and that CNN is as incompetent as ever. Keep on shining, you crazy diamond.
